Environmental
Provincial Sign Systems, working towards a better environment for all.
At Provincial Sign Systems, environmental awareness is addressed at all levels including an aggressive paper reduction policy and minimizing energy usage while finding innovative ways to use environment friendly technologies.
We recycle, paper, cardboard, packaging, plastic, aluminum, lamps, paint and as many other materials as possible. All of this combined with our Solar Rooftop initiative are examples of how Provincial Sign Systems is continuously looking for ways to reduce, re-use and recycle. In addition to finding our own in house energy saving and recycling initiatives, we are leaders in the industry in our transition into manufacturing with more eco-friendly materials and high efficiency energy products.
Solar Rooftop Initiative
The Provincial Sign Systems manufacturing facility is an 85,000 square ft. facility located in Pickering, Ontario. We are currently in the planning process to proceed with a new solar panel rooftop on the entire facility. In partnership with the Commodity Shop, Black and Macdonald and solar panel manufacturer Omniwatt, this initiative will tie into the existing Hydro supplier and provide supplemental energy through solar collection and re-distribution. In addition, the solar panels act as an insulator and our facility will require less heating in the winter.
LED Lighting
As an industry leader in LED technology, Provincial Sign Systems promotes the use of high efficient LED (Light Emitting Diode) within the company and in our products, significantly decreasing power consumption, saving money and the environment, as a longer lasting lighting solution.
Provincial Sign Systems looks forward to continued environmental and “green earth” concepts and improvements, always including what is best for the community, the country the planet and the human race when performing R & D and when improving on existing technologies and manufacturing processes.
